February Highlights

Challah & Bourekas Baking!

Students enjoyed the warmth and tradition of Baking Challah! Some opt for sweet toppings and some reach for the salty or savory - but the main ingredient is always lots of love and a heaping helping of Jewish Pride!

This month we also changed things up a bit with an additional “Bourekas” bake - organized by Sharon! The dough was warm and crispy and the fillings we’re inspired - a real taste of the holy land!

Ladies Lunch ‘N Learn & Sinai Scholars Continue,
B.L.T. Club Reaches “Minyan” Milestone!

Torah study & Mitzvot engagement at Chabad at USC is reaching new heights as the B.L.T. (Bagels, Lox & Tefillin) Club passes the 10-men “minyan” milestone for the first time, the Sinai Scholars crew dive deep into the study of foundational concepts including Shabbat & the Jewish perspective on Love & Marriage.

Chabad Hosts AEPi Walk-to-Remeber Closing Brunch

In what has become a wonderfully meaningful and beautiful tradition, the Jewish brothers of the AEPi fraternity organized a Holocaust Walk to Remember, in collaboration with the other Jewish orgs on campus including GFI, Chabad and Hillel.

Despite two consecutive rescheduling’s due to inclement weather, the event saw the largest turnout in recent years - and we were honored to host the closing brunch!

Jewish Gamecock of The Month

YARDEN SAGY
Major: Mechanical Engineering | Minor: Naval Science & Nuclear Engineering.
Class of ‘26

“My time at Chabad at USC has been one of the most meaningful parts of my college experience. It’s given me a space to connect more deeply with my Jewish identity while building genuine friendships with an incredible community. Either high holidays and Shabbat dinners or just stopping by to hang out and talk, Chabad has always felt warm, welcoming, and like a home away from home. I’m really grateful for the sense of belonging and support I’ve found there. ”
- Yarden Sagy, Class of ‘26

The Chabad at USC family is proud to congratulate Yarden on his official Ship Selection for his tour as a Surface Warfare Officer: USS William P. Lawrence (DDG-110) in Pearl Harbor, HI!
