Feature Story

Speed-dating at Chabad!

Yup, you read that right - we had speed-dating at Chabad! It’s no secret that helping young Jewish guys and girls find and connect with a Jewish partner, increases the chances of them building strong Jewish homes in the future - and here at Chabad, Jewish futures are what we’re all about!
Nearly 50 students showed up for the event and a great time was had by all!
Stay tuned for the Mazal Tov announcements :)

Pre-Chanukkah Party!

With Chanukkah falling during the break, we couldn’t let the semester end without some homemade donuts, build-your-own-menorah crafts and a latke-making competition!

Shabbat Dinner Spotlight: “Jewish Studies” Shabbat

On Friday Dec 5th we hosted a “Jewish Studies” Shabbat, generously sponsored by the Jewish Studies program at USC. A number of Jewish Professors attended and the JSP director spoke to the students about some of the amazing courses they offer. It was a great opportunity for the students to network with Jewish faculty on campus!

December Report

Friends-giving

After spending the Thanksgiving holiday home with family, the Jewish students at USC doubled down with another gourmet, homemade extravagant feast with their Chabad family, complete with a massive Turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes all the usual trimmings!

Sinai Scholars Graduation

After eight incredible classes of deep, meaningful and enlightening discussion, members of the Fall ‘25 Sinai Scholars cohort celebrated their well deserved graduation! We were assured by each of the students that this would be only the beginning of their educational journey! Mazal Tov!

“Spread Your Light” Menorah Challenge

As the students all went their separate ways for winter break - they all shone and shared their light as they lit their Menorahs across the country! A perfect example of the Rebbe’s constant reminder that the best way to fight darkness is to focus on adding more light to the world!

USC Students Light Giant Menorah on State-House Steps

Five USC students were given the honor of lighting Chabad of SC’s Giant Menorah on the steps of the statehouse - in the presence of the Governor and other state dignitaries - we were so proud!
