The new year began in fine form with a warm and spirited Welcome Back BBQ, bringing together over 50 new and returning students, for an evening of connection and community. Attendees enjoyed fresh homemade kosher food and the relaxed atmosphere that has become a hallmark of Chabad’s campus events.

The gathering provided an opportunity for incoming freshman meet other members of the Jewish USC community and for returning students to reconnect after the summer break, and - for both - to learn about upcoming programs for the semester. The BBQ was quickly followed by a record breaking crowd for Welcome Shabbat - the first of Chabad’s weekly shabbat dinners - which welcomed a crowd of over 80 students!

The energy and enthusiasm of these opening events set a joyful tone for the year ahead, reflecting the warmth and vibrancy of Jewish life on campus.
