Students learned the art and spiritual symbolism of challah-making, transforming a simple - 2,000 year-old recipe into an experience of unity, mindfulness, and connection to Jewish tradition.

Each session blended creativity with meaning, leaving students with not only loaves to take home but also a deeper appreciation of this cherished Shabbat tradition.

Equally memorable have been Chabad’s multi-themed Shabbat dinners, which have celebrated Jewish culture with color, creativity, and community spirit. Themes like Israeli Night, Italian Shabbat,Taco Shabbat, Moroccan Shabbat and more, infused the traditional meal with a lively and engaging atmosphere. Students enjoyed exotic kosher cuisine, an uplifting atmosphere, and thought-provoking discussion, all while connecting with peers in a warm, welcoming environment.

These gatherings have created a sense of belonging that extends far beyond the dinner table. As one participant put it, “It’s not just Shabbat dinner—it’s family.”
